Bettina Schönenberg

Theater Education Course Manager

Bettina Schönenberg was born in Esslingen in 1974 and has lived in Regensburg with her family since 2001. After her training in Acting, she began working as a permanent member of the ensemble with the Regensburg Theater. Guest appearances followed with Komödie im Marquart Stuttgart (Marquardt Comedy Theater) the Kammerspiele Landshut (The Landshut Intimate Theater), the Altstadttheater Ingolstadt (The Ingolstadt Old Town Theater), the Staatsoper Nürnberg (The Nuremberg State Opera House) and the Prinzregenttheater Bochum (The Bochum Prince Regent Theater), to name just a few.

As a Theater Educator qualified by the German Federal Association of Theater Education (Bundesverband Theaterpädagogik e.V.), a registered association, Bettina Schönenberg manages the Theater Education course at the Bavarian Academy of Dramatic Arts, is active as an instructor for training educators, and leads numerous workshops for children and adults. She is also responsible for artistic direction of the “SubsTanz” dance education project series under the patronage of mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer.

She has worked as a stage director for the Burghofspiele Falkenstein (Theater in the Castle Courtyard, Falkenstein), since 2015.

Bettina Schönenberg also performs as a singer with her band “Die Diven und der Schmidt” (The Divas and the Schmidt) and in the musical cabaret “Zack! - Glück! Die Suche nach Mr. Perfekt” “Pow! - Happiness! The Search for Mr. Perfect” .
