The Academy Theater is almost barrier-free for people with restricted mobility.
Participation is also enhanced for the hearing impaired with an audio induction loop.
- The Theater im alten Malsaal (Theater in the Old Paintings Gallery) is equipped with an audio induction loop. The system guarantees good audio comprehension at every seat in the room.
- The entire building (except the basement) is barrier-free or low-barrier.
- From a separate entrance, wheelchair users follow a path without steps or ramps through the courtyard to the elevator.
- The bells on the courtyard gate are placed at a height wheelchair users can reach, as is the control pad for the elevator.
- There is a barrier-free toilet for people with physical disabilities on the fourth floor.
- The Theater im alten Malsaal (Theater in the Old Paintings Gallery) has spaces for up to 8 wheelchairs.
- The Studio Stage has spaces for up to 3 wheelchairs.
- The Rehearsal Stage has spaces for up to 3 wheelchairs.
- There is a small sill in the doorway between the Theater Bar and the terrace. Our staff will be glad to provide any assistance necessary.
